Procure Partnership Framework Projects Handed Over In 2021

In 2021 Procure Partnerships Framework have successfully secured 95 projects across our Contractor Framework and we’ve seen many of our existing project completed and handed over to our Framework Users.

As we approach 2022 the Procure Partnerships Framework team have taken the time to reflect on the past year and review a small selection of our favourite completed schemes!

Lighthouse Laboratory for Royal Berkshire NHS Foundation Trust 

The need for suitable healthcare facilities has been more important than ever as the fight against COVID-19 continues. Earlier this year Morgan Sindall and Overbury completed a programme of refurbishment works on a £6.7m COVID-19 Lighthouse Laboratory on behalf of Royal Berkshire NHS Foundation Trust.

The new laboratory now operates 24/7 and tests thousands of COVID-19 samples every day, collected from testing centres, care homes and houses across the South East.

The Institute of Sport at Manchester Metropolitan University

The Institute of Sport is a new world class sporting facility that was recently handed over for Manchester Metropolitan University. Students are now preparing to make the move into the facility as Contractor Partners Eric Wright completed the project just in time for the new year.

The new facility will home the Musculoskeletal Science and Sports Medicine Research Centre and will offer advanced medical imaging, biomechanics and gait laboratories and human performance testing.

Willow Wood Primary School

As one of the first education projects procured in the North East Willow Wood Primary School, which replaces the former Willow Fields Community Primary School, was successfully completed over the summer by Esh Construction, and has now opened its doors to over 160 primary school students.

The brand-new facilities provided a much-needed upgrade for the school that caters to both students and staff. The new build includes many state-of-the-art features such as a therapy room for children with special educational needs and disabilities, becoming a vital resource for the local community.

Bevan Intermediate Care Unit at Salford Royal Hospital

This impressive programme of new build works involved the Construction of a new two-storey, 60 bed Intermediate Care Unit on the Stott Lane Car Park site of Salford Royal Hospital. The stand-alone building contains a mixture of single bedrooms and 4-bed bay rooms to provide intermediate care for patients.

The building, completed by Contractor Partners Galliford Try, has staff facilities, catering facilities and day room functions, as well as occupational therapy space, including a gymnasium, making it one of our largest healthcare projects this year.

Rutland Mills Transformation

Despite being one of the most difficult schemes to date due to the fact these historic buildings were untouched for over 20 years this 135,000 sqft space has been transformed into a creative industry gem.

The ambitious regeneration plan will convert the space into a mixed-use, inclusive, creative, and cultural cluster. Sewell Construction have successfully completed phase one of this scheme for Wakefield Council and City & Provincial Properties whilst also ensuring that social value has been at the heart of the project throughout.

Stockport College Redevelopment

Seddon successfully handed over phase one of a programme of fit out and refurbishment works at Stockport College, on behalf of Trafford College Group. 

This education project includes a new art building created by modernising the shell of the former arts department and the refurbishment of Vernon Tower to provide brand new teaching facilities. Learning at the college remained unaffected by the works and the scheme completed just in time for the start of the new academic year.
