Social Value

We help organisations leave a lasting legacy on the communities they live and work in.

Social Value is important to us. We dedicate resources to help you and our framework partners build for the better. That’s why we ask for a minimum of 12% social value add to be delivered on each project (2% above the Social Value Act minimum), though our framework contractors deliver an average of 26% in Social Value add. Why? Because we provide clients and contractors with the tools to make Social Value an intrinsic part of their project delivery.

  1. Set & Lock

We help you set a personalised Social Value plan with bespoke tender questions that suit the needs of you and your community. We’ll have an initial call to find out what is important to you, and help you set and lock your Social Value plan in place.

  2. Manage

We provide regular monitoring and evidence checking via Compliance Chain. When an activity has happened on site, it is always logged on the system, any evidence uploaded will be checked and verified – so that you know your plan is being fully committed to.

  3. Support

You will be assigned a dedicated Social Value advisor that will provide ongoing support throughout the entire project lifecycle, as well as live updates on how your plan is progressing via the Compliance Chain portal.

Collaborative Working Groups

The Procure Partnerships Framework puts Social Value at the heart of what we do, and collaboration between contractors is another value that is engrained in our daily operations.

We facilitate collaborative working groups that are made up of our regional contractor partners who deliver initiatives in partnership.

All of the combined aims are non-project specific and will see contractors of different sizes, working together for the same goals; to make a positive impact across our regions. From 2022/23, we saw 48 initiatives in line with our key themes:

Wellbeing in the Community, Third Sector Initiative, STEM Initiatives, Armed Forces, SEND Schools, Onboarding SME’s, Young Persons into Employment, Donation of time, Jobs, Foodbanks, Mental Health in Construction, and Achieving Net Zero.

  • Having undertaken a two-stage mini competition via Procure Partnerships within 22-23, I found the process to be very flexible and the framework representatives very supportive and responsive. The two-stage approach worked very well for a complex, high-specification build without a specification/level of detail and the available suppliers within the region/value band submitted robust bids. Capital Procurement Manager, Gloucestershire Shared Service For NHS
