Procure Partnerships Framework Team Continue Site Visits With Visit To Wirral’s Children’s Museum

With Covid – 19 restrictions easing and a return to normality in sight members of the Procure Partnerships Framework team were able to visit the live site of Eureka, a future science and discovery museum aimed at young people and families based at the former Spaceport Museum in Seacombe, Wallasey.

The project was secured via the Procure Partnerships North West Framework with contractor partners Seddon securing the project under a two stage call-off procedure.

Framework Director Robbie Blackhurst, Framework Manager Faye Dolan and Key Account Manager Natalie Palframan joined the Seddon team for a tour of the site as work on the scheme progresses.

Eureka will be a new national attraction in the Liverpool City Region designed to inspire children and young people to explore the world of Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Maths (STEAM) subjects.

believing that young people learn best when they can be hands on, the museum will focus on providing a more interactive experience by straying away from the more traditional museum experience, promising that “There won’t be anything trapped behind glass cases, complex instructions and definitely no signs saying do not touch!”

Eureka is also set to breathe new life into the Wirral by creating more tourism in the area and positively impacting the local economy, it’s already believed that it will be the most visitor-led attraction in the UK when it’s doors open in early 2022. Eureka will be easily accessible from Liverpool via the Mersey Ferry and is only a stone’s throw away from the Procure Partnerships Framework Head office in Albert Dock.

Natalie Palframan, Key Account Manager, Commented: “We recently visited the Eureka construction site with our contractor partners Seddon. It was very impressive to see the transformation of the building underway, and the project is progressing well. I’m excited to see this scheme come to completion and open its doors. It will provide a fantastic facility to nurture the learning of Children in the local community and beyond!”
