On Thursday 11th April the Procure Partnerships Framework team invited their North West contractor partners across the Build (Major Works) and Lite (Minor Works) frameworks to the Hard Days Night Hotel (Liverpool) for breakfast and the opportunity to present the progress that the Framework has made in its first 7 months.
Robbie Blackhurst (Procure Partnerships Framework) took the contractor partners through a critical analysis of each frameworks progress in the North West which included key performance stats. In the first seven months of operation the framework has procured 23 projects, across 16 client groups with a total value in excess of £100m.
Adrian Blackie (Pre-Construction Director, BAM) commented that “It was good to attend an update briefing on the Procure North West Framework last week with all the framework contractors. Although the Framework has only been in place for seven months, it was really pleasing to see that 23 projects had already gone through this framework. This clearly demonstrates that the Procure North West Framework is of real interest to public sector clients within the North West region, and I’m sure more opportunities will come through the framework in the years ahead.”
The presentation also outlined what the Procure North West Framework is doing to support clients in the delivery of their capital projects and how each partner can help to raise further awareness of the Framework within the North West.
Neil Walker (Framework Director, ISG) thought that the “collaborative event was very communicative and informative. Covering key topics around understanding of current public sector procurement challenges, in addition to updates on Procure North West “in flight projects” and potential future opportunities and client engagement, the presentation also identified the future strategy and direction of the Framework. All in all, we found the update presentation to be very interesting , open and transparent and an opportunity to catch up with the procure North West management team and fellow contractor partners.”
Richard Buck (Business Development Director, Galliford Try) commented that “in any framework relationship the first 6 – 12 months are vital in establishing an offer which is both credible and attractive to the market. The pace that has been set so far, highlighted within the presentation, shows excellent progress to date and the transparency is certainly appreciated by us as a contractor partner”.
