£11,000 raised by PPF Partners for leading homeless and housing charity

On Friday 11th October contractor partners of the Procure Partnerships (North West) Framework braved the elements and slept in self constructed shelters to raise much needed funds to support the Whitechapel Centre Liverpool. The event itself raised £20,000 with the Procure Partnerships team contributing a staggering £11,000 of that total.

The Whitechapel Centre is a leading homeless and housing charity for the Liverpool region. We work with people who are sleeping rough, living in hostels or struggling to manage their accommodation. We are committed to help people to find and maintain a home and learn the life skills essential for independent living. In 2018-19 we worked with 4,323 people. Our projects reflect the diverse routes into & through homelessness. A variety of services, in different settings, compliment each other and ensure no one slips through the net of support.

Robbie Blackhurst, Procure Partnerships Framework Director commented, “Our contractor partners do some amazing things to deliver demonstrable social value across the region. This is just latest example of what can be achieved when a group of like-minded people and organisations get together to make a real impact to the communities in which they operate in. As a framework we are delighted to support the Whitechapel Centre and know that the funds raised will go some way to support some of the most venerable people in our society”

Kenny Humphreys, Cruden Construction’s Social Value lead added, “It was a pleasure to work in collaboration with  Procure Partnerships and for so many principal contractors to come together to support such a worthwhile cause as the Whitechapel.  It was a truly humbling experience and  heart-warming  that so many people gave up their own personal time to raise awareness of the issues faced by the homeless and much needed funds!. I am sure that it’s an event that  all involved will  support again“

A special mention has to go to Kier’s supply chain partners Webber Engineering and HA Clivil’s who joined the team on the evening, with HA Civil’s raising a staggering £5750!!
