Crossfield Donations Support Livv Housing Group

Low income, changes and delays in benefits, a lack of jobs and the skills gaps are just a few of the reasons for an increasing need for vital donations. However, with the added impact of Covid – 19 many families are facing the devastating reality of not being able to afford the basic necessities. According to the Trussell Trust a shocking 1.9 Million emergency food parcels were given to those in crisis in 2020 alone.

It’s not just a need for food that is increasing but also the need for everyday items we may not even realise are an important part of our day-to-day life. Such as toiletries homeware, books, toys, clothing and stationery.

As Social Value Pioneers we are delighted to see that Crossfield Group, our contractor partner and valued member of our North West Social Value Group, have made a generous donation of these good to two local charities.

Livv Housing Group, a housing association based in Merseyside, received several donations from Crossfield. Livv Housing Group work with many organisations who are able to distribute the donations to families in need.

Fiona Mather, Social Impact Manager, Commented: “sounds like a great initiative – well done to all staff involved!”

A donation of clothing was also given to the Evermoor Hub based in Skelmersdale, Lancashire, an independent foodbank that covers the whole of West Lancashire benefiting 5300 people annually.

Natalie Palframan, Key Account Manager, Procure Partnerships Framework, Commented: “Sadly, we’re seeing more and more people across the North West facing situations which leave them without the means to access necessities for every-day life. The donations provided by Crossfield Group will allow families and individuals to live a better quality of life and help communities to thrive. We’re so proud that our framework provides a gateway for our contractor partners to participate in vital schemes such as this”.
