Successfully Supporting Complex Infrastructure Projects

Procure Partnerships Framework is well known for assisting in the delivery of traditional buildings, new build and refurbishment projects, but did you know that we can now facilitate infrastructure projects as part of our Procure Partnerships North West Framework renewal?

Infrastructure is composed of physical structures such as roads, railways, bridges, tunnels, water supply, sewers, electrical grids, and telecommunications, including Internet connectivity and broadband access.

Procure Partnerships are currently supporting several highway projects. One example of this is Michael Faraday Avenue, a project that is currently on site with our Infrastructure Partners Eric Wright Civil Engineering. It involves the completion of the remaining 163m of the Michael Faraday loop road across the Stanney Brook Water course on behalf of Rochdale Borough Council.

Details of the scheme include:

– Temporary diversion of the Stanney Brook Watercourse
– Excavation for the Culvert works
– Installation of 2 No. 10.7m wide x 7m high
– Backfill and construction of reinforced Tensar wing walls
– Re-shaping of adjacent batters
– Construction of 2No. ponds
– Construction of 7.3m wide carriageway and combined 3m footway / cycleway

Procure Partnerships Framework can also support with wider public realm works associated with highway redevelopment.

Natalie Palframan, Key Account Manager, commented: “Improving infrastructure across the North is key to the Levelling Up agenda. Making better links between major Cities across the region and beyond to improve economic opportunities here is really exciting, and I am pleased our Framework can support infrastructure projects to facilitate this.”
