Procure North West hosted an official partner launch event on Thursday 21st June in Fazenda Liverpool. The main purpose of the day was to map out how Procure North West and the contractor partners would collaboratively work together going forward.
Robbie Blackhurst, Managing Director of PNW commented, “It was important to us to get all of the framework partners together in one room within two weeks of making the framework award announcement. The framework launch event allowed us to convey in real detail the rationale behind the establishment of the Procure North West Framework but also the relaxed environment provided a forum to discuss a collective vision for the next 4 years”.
The event was deemed to be a great success by all involved and not only allowed Procure North West to impart their vision for the framework but also allowed partners to inform the overall delivery strategy.
Nick Orton, Pre-Construction Manager at Kier Construction heighted that the “launch event was informative, engaging, and presented a compelling vision for the framework’s place amongst the region’s other public sector procurement vehicles. We at Kier are proud to have gained places on Lots 2 and 3 of the Procure North West framework and look forward to working with the PNW team and our contractor partners over the next 4 years.”
The framework had been structured in a manner to ensure each partner were suited to their respective value bands. David Cain, Director of Crossfield Construction commented, “We are thrilled to have been awarded a place on the Procure North West Framework. It is particularly pleasing to see the mix of tier one national contractors alongside more local SME contractors like ourselves, which will no doubt be welcomed by public sector clients. We look forward to working with the framework and other partners to ensure its success across the region.”
Jason Ward, Framework Manager at Morgan Sindall highlighted that as a business they “were pleased to attend the launch of the Procure NW Framework and are delighted to have been awarded a place on lots three and four of this exciting new framework for the region.” He further elaborated that Morgan Sindall “look forward to delivering many more projects in collaboration with the Procure North West framework team in the future.”
Finally, Richard Buck, Business Development Director at Galliford Try Construction commented that the event was “well organised and structured which set the scene for Procure North West delivery strategy over the next four years. It was particularly refreshing to discuss how the framework had been commercially structured to ensure clients obtain value for money whilst also offering them a degree of flexibility.”
