Lancashire Combined Fire Authority has Appointed ISG to deliver a £3 million programme of extension and refurbishment works to the new Breathing Apparatus (BA) School.
ISG were chosen to deliver the scheme through the Procure Partnerships North West Framework.
The scheme requires the construction of a new Breathing Apparatus (BA) School, equipment workshops and classrooms at the authority’s Service Training Centre site in Chorley. This new facility will be an extension to the existing fleet garage, housed within a large steel frame structure that is targeting a BREEAM Very Good environmental performance rating and a ‘Zero Carbon’ designation for regulated energy use. The project includes minor refurbishment of the existing fleet building.
Neil Walker, ISG’s framework director, commented: “We are passionate about our role in the provision of world-class blue light facilities that directly support our emergency service personnel in carrying out their life saving work in our communities. This project for the Lancashire Combined Fire Authority represents a major investment in key infrastructure to support advanced training and create the latest generation of facilities that will serve communities for many years to come.”
