Procure Partnerships Framework Contractor Partner I&G have completed a programme of refurbishment works altering the accommodation of the Jubilee Wing of Leeds General Infirmary, involving changes to the equipment Pool and specific clinical engineering Functions.
The project was secured via the Procure Partnerships Yorkshire Framework.
The scheme was quite short given the amount and nature of the works involved. I&G ensured specific planning of resources and sequencing of resources for the best outcome and as a result the project handed over to the agreed extension of time.
Like many works over the past year the project was carried out during the pandemic and given the tight timescales this brought about a need to plan works effectively to ensure that social distancing could be achieved. The I&G team managed this admirably to allow the tight programme could be achieved even with these additional considerations.
Sherwin Naron, Construction Manager and QS, commented: “This was a very tight scheme in terms of the work required within the timescales we had, despite the fact that the work was carried out in the pandemic, It was a success that site team effectively managed this project and completed successfully within the agreed completion date”.
Faye Dolan, Framework Manager, commented: “Procure Partnerships Framework are delighted to be continually supporting Leeds Teaching Hospitals. The Jubilee Wing project has faced some challenges regarding a tight programme, however I&G have successful handed over the project on time”.
