Eric Wright Hands Over New Manufacturing Facility At Blackpool Enterprise Zone

Procure Partnerships Framework Contractor Partner Eric Wright have successfully completed a programme of new build works with the construction of a manufacturing facility at the Blackpool Enterprise Zone on behalf of Blackpool Council, valued at £4.2m.

The project was secured via the Procure Partnerships North West Framework.

The industrial unit will be used as the brand-new headquarters of Multi-Ply, an organisation that manufactures carbon fibre components for the healthcare sector. The unit includes an ancillary office and storage provision, alongside associated parking, a substation, switch room, refuge area, new vehicular access, servicing area, boundary treatment and hard and soft landscaping works.

The building, commissioned by Blackpool Council as part of a £75m scheme, is aiming to create 5,000 jobs over the next 25 years. The technological centre will create a variety of high skill, high level jobs, with over 70 Multi-Ply staff relocating to the multi-purpose building and further 100 staff to be appointed to brand new roles.

The £4.2m building was delivered on time and to budget. Eric Wright have been highly praised by our client for their outstanding work throughout the project.
