The project transformed a redundant office building at 277 Clapham Road into a purpose-designed GP surgery, fully compliant with HBN and HTM healthcare standards. The completed facility enabled The Grantham Practice to successfully relocate from its previous premises and serve the Lambeth community from a modern, accessible home.

 

Most consulting rooms were positioned on the ground floor to maximise accessibility for patients, with the layout and enhanced facilities also designed to support greater community engagement and improved service delivery.

Repurposed for the community's benefit

By transforming an underused office building into a modern, fully equipped GP surgery, Thomas Sinden delivered a scheme that directly addressed the healthcare needs of the Lambeth community. The new premises offered The Grantham Practice a significant upgrade on its previous facilities in every respect, from clinical space and compliance to patient accessibility.

The air source heat pump installation also aligned the building with modern sustainability requirements, reducing its long-term carbon footprint.

Financial Due-Dilligence

Using fair payment as a KPI, we track that suppliers are paying invoices within 30 days, helping to identify potential solvency issues or payment delays early.

 

The Procurement Policy Note 018 (PPN 018) requires suppliers to pay 95% of invoices within 60 days (90% with an action plan), our approach safeguards programme continuity and ensures invoices are paid within 30 days, a month ahead of the national policy expectations.
