At Skipton General Hospital, Robertson Construction is working alongside Bradford Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust to redevelop the renal department, ensuring patients benefit from an upgraded environment while carefully navigating the complexities of a Victorian healthcare estate.

Robertson has also commenced the £1.3m redevelopment of the renal department at Skipton General Hospital, a compact refurbishment within a section of the existing Victorian building.
With limited historical records of the building’s structure and services, early surveys and soft strip works have been critical in understanding the true condition of the space. As elements of the structure have been opened up, the team has worked closely with the Trust and design team to respond to unforeseen issues in real time, showing a collaborative approach to a complex building.
The project carries a total projected social value of approximately £1.9m, with a focus on apprenticeships, accredited training, and engagement with local schools and colleges.
